ipad delay

Many Disney Infinity fans have been waiting on news about when the new 2.0 app is set to become available for iPad & iPhone, with Disney announcing it will be out during the holiday season, we have been expecting it to drop any day however with just days until Christmas, we now know that it won’t be coming in 2014.

Sean Patton from Disney Interactive replied to a question on Twitter asking about the release and he has confirmed it won’t be out in 2014.

While the console versions of Disney Infinity 2.0 are all now available to purchase and the PC version is available to download for free, the IOS version is soon to be released and thanks to Matthew Panzarino from techcrunch.com, we have some details on the IOS version.  Matthew Panzarino was at a Mobile Product Showcase Press Event at Walt Disney Studios.

We have a little bit of information from some tweets that the new IOS version (Apple) version is coming this holiday season.  It has also been confirmed that the app has been rebuilt in app and that they have added multiplayer to the game.

We don’t yet know exactly what the digital exclusives will be, but its thought that this could be a Grey variant version of Baymax and possibly the Glow In The Dark Buzz Lightyear, though they could also be brand new figures such as the recently reported Sam Flynn and Quorra from Tron.

Are you planning on downloading Disney Infinity 2.0 on IOS and what do you think the two digital characters could be?
