This past weekend, vinylmation artist Gerald Mendez showcased his newest custom creation at the “Cereal Killers Art Show Gallery” located at GCS Clothing in Pomona, California. Mendez is known for his artistic mastery on many vinylmation classics including Ariel from the Little Mermaid series and Cinderella from the Clock Strikes Twelve set.

Titled, “With Cherry on Top!”, this roughly 3 foot vinylmation has all the charm expected from a Mendez creation. This vinylmation beautifully and simply depicts a shiny and glittery Mickey silhouette holding a dripping ice cream cone. True to Disney magic, this figure contains two “hidden Mickeys”. The trademark ears can be found on the scoop of ice cream as well as on the lone cherry.

If this custom vinylmation became a general release, I would definitely be in line to buy one. What do you think?

Its just days from the biggest Vinylmation event of the year and while we haven’t seen much from the Disney Custom Artists in the run up to the event, Gerald Mendez just uploaded a new preview image of his latest project which is expected to be sold off during the Villains 13 – Reflections of Evil event.   560528_10200469753607084_251880238_nLast month we saw a sneak peek at this piece of work, but today’s preview, blows it out of the water.

What do you think of this One of a Kind Vinylmation?

The D23 Expo coverage continues as Disney Artist Gerald Mendez shared some images today from the event featuring some of his artwork and Vinylmation, plus some pictures of him at a signing event plus a few special friends including other official Artists like Enrique Pita, Oskar Mendez, Javier Soto, Miss Mindy plus a few friends of the site, Keith Lapinig, Mike Vetrone, Celeste Villanueva, Ryan Marella, Evilos and Nanette Simard Belgen.

Just to share some of the pictures of the D-23 Expo, where the artwork that I create for Disney Fairytale Designer Collection was on display at the Disney Store products, from lithographs to clothing and one of a kind Limited Edition Canvas Art, enjoy some of the moments that highlight my first day at D-23 Expo.

Thanks to Gerald Mendez for sharing these images.
