Will you be adding Crystal Agent P to your collection?

youtube agent p phineas

youtube agent p phineasIn this video review, I share my thoughts on the new Toy Pack featuring Agent P & Phineas on Disney Infinity

What are your thoughts on Disney Infinity’s Agent P & Phineas Toy Pack?

Last month saw the re-release of many open window Vinylmations at D-Street in Walt Disney World & Disneyland including the USA flag, Agent P, Princess, Rainbow, Autograph and Nerds Stitch, Minnie & Mickey.

Disney has now confirmed those re-released figures will be heading online on on May 2nd.

Each figure will cost $12.95 & feature slightly smaller packaging compared to the original release.

Some of these figures have been slightly adjusted with small variations and others have been moved onto the new mold like the Nerds & USA flag.

Will you be picking any of these up?

With the Disney Infinity Phineas and Agent P Toy Box Pack being released retail wide here in the US on April 1st, we thought that we would rerun our first look of them back during Toy Fair. Enjoy! ~ Travis

At the Disney Consumer Products Event yesterday during Toy Fair, Disney Infinity had a preview event for their upcoming figures, Agent P and Phineas, from the Phineas and Ferb TV Series. In addition to these figures being widely popular with children, they are also coveted by adults, as they are the last in the 29 regular release (base) characters for Disney Infinity. With them, something special is unlocked, which will be talked about later. At the end of the event, each guest was presented a gift bag, in which was our own set of Agent P and Phineas characters in their Toy Box Pack. This pack also includes the Danville Customization Discs, which one can use to turn their Toy Box’s Skydome and Texture to that to Danville, the hometown of Phineas.

It was a good thing that I brought with me to the hotel my X-Box 360, as I spent last night exploring everything that this Toy Box Pack offers.

OK, I am assuming if you are still here, you want to know more. Let’s start.

Danville Customization Discs

IMG_2788 IMG_2787

I’d say if you are a fan of the TV Series, you are going to really enjoy this disc set. Some of the tree pieces turn into objects for the imagination, such as a climbable stack of wood that could be turned in a tower or a fort. The skyline of Danville is nice in the background. I am especially intrigued by the design of the track (road) pieces. With it’s red and white border pattern, I feel that it is a nice racetrack option.

NOTE: It has been confirmed at the preview event that these two discs WILL be part of the Series 3 Power Discs, bringing the set total to 17.

Special Powers/ Tools

Agent P- Agent P’s Special Power is the Platypus Pummel, which resembles little platypus karate moves. For his tool, our favorite platypus uses his hat a a projectile, which, like a boomerang, comes back to him.

IMG_2782 IMG_2785

Phineas- Phineas’ Special power is Tuck ‘n’ Roll… he tucks, and rolls. For his Tool, in true inventor fashion, Phineas as fashioned himself a Baseball Shooter.

NOTE: In the photos, Phineas is showcasing Agent P’s unlockables, and vice versa. This was done intentionally to show that, once unlocked in the Toy Box, they can be used by any character.

Agent P-

Agent P Costume- Townsperson of Agent P himself.

IMG_2797 IMG_2820

Dr. Doofenshmirtz Costume- Townsperson of the villain of the series, Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz.

IMG_2793 IMG_2819

Norm Costume- Townsperson of the Dr.’s assistant, an over-sized humanoid robot named Norm.

IMG_2789 IMG_2818

Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated- A Toy Box building of Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s headquarters.

 IMG_2796 IMG_2799

Phineas Costume- Townsperson of Phineas.

IMG_2795 IMG_2815

Ferb Costume- Townsperson of Ferb.

IMG_2798 IMG_2816

Candice Costume- Townsperson of Candice, Phineas’ sister and Ferb’s step-sister.

IMG_2790 IMG_2817

Phineas and Ferb’s Water Slide- An interactive set piece where you can actually slide down a water slide and go exploring.

IMG_2791 IMG_2800

Baseball Shooter- Unlock Phineas’ Tool so anyone can equip it thru the Tool application in the Toy Box.

Special Adventures

NOTE: No images here, as I think you will enjoy it more seeing it yourself. that and the pictures did not do either of the adventures justice.

Agent P & The Infinity-inator

Buckle up for not one, but FIVE, mini adventures in this one large adventure. Travel to worlds (levels) trying to defeat Dr. Doofenshmirtz and his Infinity-inator weapon and break the yellow breakables. From aerial view to side scrolling, this one has it all. I am not going to give too much away here, but if you are playing and feel like you are having a 8-bit flashback… go with it. Definite homage is paid here.

Phineas- Phineas’ Pinball Mania

Use your imagination and inventor skills to construct a pinball machine to destroy bots on the course. The longer you prevent them from getting safely through the course, the better your star will be at the end.

Both of these games were awesome and challenging. Great job DI team.

Ultimate Pack

As reported late last week, is has been confirmed that the Ultimate Pack is, in fact, the Star Wars Lightsaber. Once you get at least a bronze statue (Level 1) in the Hall of Heroes for EACH of the 29 characters (Crystal Series not included), it will appear in the center lit area of the Hall. The lightsaber is then available in the Packs option in the Toy Box. The lightsaber is a “one shot kill”, meaning that it will destroy any enemy with only one swipe combo. Pretty sweet.

 IMG_2813 IMG_2814

Well, that’s all for this preview, but I am sure that is enough, right?
Be on the lookout for the Phineas and Agent P Toy Box Pack, available April 1st here in the United States retail wide. Gamestop will be getting the Toy Box pack in early for a Timed Exclusive, set to release on March 14th.

Thank again to the team at Disney Infinity for including the preview in the Toy Fair Disney Event this year, and for another pair of fun Toy Box characters.

Thanks to my friends over at Toys ‘R’ Us, I have some more information in regards to upcoming product:

Series 3 Power Discs- Release Date: 4/1/14

TRU has had a release date of April 1, 2014 for a while now, but with the original date being in February, we were thinking this was just a placeholder date. However, with March coming this weekend, we are now a month out from that release date. It is on a Tuesday, which coincides with most video game release dates, as well as the release date for Series 2 Power Discs. It is also the known release date here in the US of the Phineas and Agent P Toy Box Pack.

NOTE: There has been no word yet on any Series 3 album/ disc set to be released, as there was with Series 2. With just a month before release of Series 2, we all were well aware of the existence of the Target set, so not having information out by now leads me to believe that we will not see one for Series 3. However, Disney has surprised us in the past.

TRU Gold Pack Exclusives- Merlin’s Summon & CHROME Damage Increaser- ???

Unfortunately, there is still no word on either Merlin’s Summon or CHROME Damage Increaser coming out in the near future. They are in the database, and have been since the August launch. However, status for the discs are shown as “X”, with no inventory shown as being anywhere. At this time, I doubt we will see an April release of them like people were hoping.

Currently, Merlin’s Summon is available in certain European countries, and CHROME Damage Increaser is available in the TRU Exclusive Race to Space Toy Box Pack.

Infinite Crystal Series Agent P

Well, he is here… well, at least in the TRU system. “Infinity Agent Crystal P” is now in the database for TRU stores here in the US. We had previous confirmation from EB Games and JB HI-FI over in Australia that he was going to be released there, but this is first word that he will be coming to the US. There is no release date listed.

EDIT: While posting this story, it was brought to my attention that BOTH the EB Games and JB HI-FI pre-order pages have been taken down or marked as offer expired. no word if that will affect his availability thru TRU here in the US.

A New Buzz Figure… Crystal? Glow in the Dark?

Also added to the TRU database is the “EX BUZZ INFINITI FIG”, with a release date of April 13, 2014. Now, is this the Crystal Buzz, which TRU advertised as being exclusive to the Race to Space Toy Box Pack? Or could this be that elusive Glow in the Dark Buzz, which we have seen due to a glitch in the Hall of Heroes? I guess it all remains to be seen.

Possible Glow in the Dark Buzz?

Possible Glow in the Dark Buzz?

NOTE: This information is being brought to you all thru information obtained by our sources, nothing of which has been officially announced by TRU. As always, things can change. Once we get more information, we will let everyone know.

NOTE: There is no word that Crystal Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey made it past test phases and into production as a playable figure. The only information we have is that he was in a developer’s game console as a playable character there.

agent p trade night 450

A few weeks ago we discovered there was going to be a Agent P Vinylmation released at one of this years official trading nights in either Disneyland or Walt Disney World via a Chinese Scrapper seller on eBay which showed the variant clear version but without an hat accessory.  This clear version had a variant edition size of LE50 compared to the standard version which has an edition size of LE450.

Now the Scrapper sellers have once again unveiled a upcoming figure, but this time showing us the standard version of the Agent P figure which is very similar to the Open Window version but with a metallic green look.   We don’t yet know which trade event this figure will be released at, but with an LE500 blind box, this one will be sought after and will sell out quickly at the event.

Here are some pictures of the Agent P regular:

Here is another look at the variant LE50 version (without it’s hat).

agent p trade night le50Again, we don’t recommend to anyone to purchase Scrapper‘s of any kind from eBay as these figures failed quality control for any number of reasons and if you are unaware of Scrapper‘s, then check out our guide.

Here are some official images of upcoming Trade Night figures:

This year will also see the debut of specially designed limited edition figures released at the Disney Trading Nights. There will be a unique figures released at Disneyland Resort and at Walt Disney World Resort during upcoming events. These figures are limited edition and are presented as the “Eachz” concept – one figure is more common to find than the other

What do you think of this figure?

On the same day as the re-released Nerds Rocks figures come out, Disney are also re-releasing the Agent P figure from Phineas & Ferb series again.  While this figure was originally released in May 2012, the official Disney Vinylmation page has now listed this figure as being available.  No word on if the other figures from this series will be re-issued or if they are simply putting this figure back out due to high sales.

crystal agent pWe have heard rumours of a Agent P Crystal figure for Disney Infinity for a while but now we have confirmation via Australian retailer JB Hi Fi, where it will be available as an exclusive . While no Australian release date is listed, we have a picture of the figure with its artwork (which can be found here)

We don’t have a US or European release date either, but expect it to be available after the Phineas & Ferb Toy Box pack and Single Figures are released which is set to be in April 2014.

mission marvel

mission marvelSome interesting news came to light today from Vinylmation Exchange Member Mark M. who is reporting that Disney is releasing a Agent P SuperHero Mission Marvel Vinylmation.  It’s expected to be released on June 24th (this could change).

Here are some details on the up and coming Mission Marvel episode

Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel will be a special Season 4 episode of Phineas and Ferb and serve as an animated crossover between Disney and Marvel that will premiere in the summer of 2013.

Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor and Hulk enter Danville after Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s latest “inator” scheme accidentally removes their powers and immobilizes them. Now it’s up to Phineas and Ferb to team up with the Marvel Super Heroes to help them regain their powers and defeat Marvel Super Villains – Red Skull, Whiplash, Venom and M.O.D.O.K. – who are working together with Dr. Doofenshmirtz to use his power-draining technology to create mayhem.

timessquareOther future new releases include two new Store Specific exclusives which include a new Times Square Around the World Junior People of NY.

The second one will be called “Mickey’s Surf” at Store 346 in Hawaii.

These are also both due out on June 24th, but obviously these dates could change.

Marc M. is also reporting that the rumoured Mask Series is set to be released on May 20th.

At the moment we have no more information on these new releases and these should be taken as Rumours since they haven’t been officially released by Disney.

Thanks to Marc M for the information.
