Once again this week has been a very busy week for Vinylmation news, There have been two huge stories that have dominated this weeks news, first up has been the reveal of the Urban Redux #1 Super Chasers which are hand drawn one of a kind Vinyls. A few images of those Super chasers have been revealed along with the first confirmed Internet sighting of one of the Super Chasers. This week also saw the Urban Redux series released online with the Combo Toppers. The 360 images of the variants and standard chaser also got revealed.
But maybe the biggest news of the week was the announcement of lots of new Star Wars Vinylmation’s including full images of Star Wars Juniors Droid series, the 9″ & Jr Jabba the Hut combo, the Star Wars: Return of the Jedi blind box series and the special limited edition Han Solo in Carbonite figure.
In other news, we finally saw pictures of the up and coming Mickey’s Wild West series (We saw a few more images later in the week of the full set.) Along with the release of the “Mickey Through the Years” twin pack with a Steamboat & Modern Mickey at Walt Disney Studios.
Also this week, the official Vinylmation website moved over to its new home at the Disney Park Merchandise. A tray of Animation 3 managed to escape its release date for a few moments and over in Europe, the 110th Anniversary blind box series made a surprise new release. Disney custom Artist Noah also showed off his latest work for the Disney Cruise Line.
We have continued to make adjustments to the Vinylmation Kingdom website to make things as easy as possible, which include our new Release Calendar page which shows off all the known release dates in one handy place.
On this week’s Destination Vinylmation Podcast, Nick and MC discuss the Urban Redux launch and how this might effect series in the future, plus their thoughts on the news from the previous week. Be sure to check it out.

And finally…. We are planning on putting together a new Custom’s subsection of the VK website with lots of help for new and existing custom artists. I would like pop some How to guides onto the site, I know myself from trying out doing customs for the first time, there are a few handy tips on the other websites and its something both Baltar & I would like to see added to the site. There are lots of different area’s within the Custom area, such as priming, finishing, scalping, air brushing, painting, assessories, cleaning etc etc etc, (If I missed something off that should be included, let me know). Every artist has their own style and methods, so ideally there can be a few different artist’s guides.
