Casey Jones signing at D-Street California
Yesterday marked the release of Star Wars series 2 vinylmations at D-Street in California. Fans were treated to a chance to meet Casey Jones as well. Here are a few pics from the event. Enjoy!
Wristbands distribution started around 7am and there were plenty to go around.
- Vouchers were given out at the register to anyone who wanted to meet Casey Jones and get 2 vinylmations signed by him. People were told to be in line before 3pm and that cast members would try to line up people by the numbers on the voucher which didn’t work as well as they hoped.
- Casey Jones was very friendly, a really nice guy, he looked like he was enjoying meeting all the fans.
- It was worth waiting in line in the blazing sun to meet him. Let me tell you, it was HOT, but a small price to pay I guess.
On a side note, I checked D-street around 5pm after meeting Casey Jones, it looked like they still had a lot of stock left of Star Wars series 2. Didn’t look like it was going to sell out. Which is good for anyone unable to attend yesterday. But it also looks like the 14.95 price tag for each vinyl may be what’s keeping it from selling out.
The event went well. It wasn’t blazing hot like the previous few weeks. Casey Jones was kind & gracious to all of his fans & collectors. The queuing wasn’t all that bad when I got there. Just asked people’s numbers & fit in between. Great event overall.
Does anyone know if you could buy a Star Wars 2 case over the phone through Disney Theme Park Merchandise line or by calling D-Street directly?
