VK Exclusive: Vinylmations Coming to Comic Con and Disneystore.com!
We have some pretty awesome news to break here today. About a week ago, I received a tip that there would be Vinylmations released at Comic Con in San Diego next month. I was pretty happy to hear the news. Then I got another tip from a very reliable source on what the Vinylmation sets would actually be. Are you ready for it?
Carl and Ellie from Up 3IN Combo Pack Set $26.95
Alice in Wonderland Queen and King of Hearts 3IN Combo Pack Set $24.95
Park Starz Squid, LE SDCC labeled edition will be available $24.95
a 4th set that I haven’t confirmed exactly what it is yet.
The even bigger news is that it appears that while some of each design will be released at Comic Con, some will also be reserved and released at Disneystore.com at a later time. This is great news for the people who are nowhere near Comic Con but want to get their hands on some of these.
When we get a hold of some photos, we will post them.
carl and ellie…….. YES this better be online
It seems that some will be released online after Comic Con.
More 2 packs for me to spend money on…hope they are available in most places and in a decent but not over produced numbers.
Carl & Ellie… Neat! Now if they can get a Dug…
Queen & King… Not sure if we need another Queen but a King Jr. is sweet.
Squid… I think a previous VM vid showed off a purple Squid. Could that be it?
Overall, can’t wait to see them!
Does anyone know if they are going to pre-sell these online before Con? Or would I have to fight the masses when I go there? (I’m thinking the latter, but hoping it isn’t the case!)
Will be online at some point. Not sure when. I’m assuming after.
Releasing these on line is exactly what is wrong with vm. The exclusive means nothings
Love love love the idea of finally getting Carl and Ellie!!! I hope they are online!!! But not getting my hopes up….
I like the Cark/ Ellie combo idea! The Purple Squid Park Starz still is an odd choice for a variant but it looks cool. The Queen and King of Hearts 3″ combo is one half good idea (king) and one half tired idea (Queen of Hearts).
The fact that they will be a Comic Con exclusive will automatically add $50 to the secondary market price whether warranted or not. In the past, SDCC would sell exclusives ONLY if they had leftovers. So, depending on the edition size of the Vinylmation releases, the popularity of the sets at the Comic Con will determine if there are leftovers for we bourgeoisie collectors in rural Disney country (ie. the rest of the USA not in SoCal).

That just isn’t how things are done anymore. Most every company I know of sets aside a portion of their exclusives to sell online after the con and have for years. From McFarlane Toys to Hasbro to Mattel to NECA to Diamond Select Toys to Sideshow Collectibles to Gentle Giant to Bowen Designs to SOTA, I honestly can’t think of any major toy company that doesn’t sell their exclusives online after the con. I’d be shocked if Disney doesn’t save several hundred of each exclusive to sell after the show.
Read my article. That’s exactly what I said. There are specific numbers guaranteed to sell online. I’m talking almost 2000.
That will be nice. It has been a few years since I bought anything from the Con after the event was over, so I will look forward to possibly getting the PS Squid variant for my collection!

Yeah lot of mistakes regarding 9/3 confused with 3 and 3 combos. For example, that King/Queen set is a 3/3 combo
