Individual Shots of Villains 3 Vinylmations!
Yesterday we got our first look at the set of 11 VIllains 3 as a group. Today we get our first up close individual pics. I must say that this set is growing on me. I even like Gaston a bit more now.. As usual, you can click each image to get an even larger version or the photo.

Seeing them upclose makes me even more excited! I really love Madame Medusa and the Queen of Hearts. Can’t wait!

Upon looking closer at the Madame Medusa design, …it’s still a little off. Sorry. But everyone else looks pretty darn good. I’d love for there to be a variant for Ratigan when he goes utterly mad in the climactic fight on Big Ben!
Chernabog does look good..Still wouldnt buy him though.

Not yet. Lots of guesses for the villain though!
only 4-6 look good, rest of them just… whats the word to describe… UGLY, Weird looking, Strange….
I have mixed feelings about this set. They did up the detail of the set from V3 and I really appreciate the artistry. At the same time, the cock-eyed expressions really point to me that they are trying to “work around” the mold. With Smee and Medusa they even cleared out the ears. Ultimately, I’m not sure the point. With VM’s it’s always been about creating art on a Mickey canvas. With the new mold, the down-graded the mickey shape to set the artists free. With this series, it seems like they are trying to work around the new mold now. Really not trying to start an old debate up again. Might be just the limitations of creating characters on a non-human shape. At this point, I’m focusing on Park vinyls and will continue to do so.
Love blind-boxing, love chasers, love art….maybe a unique mold series with characters down the road…ala Park Starz?

I agree. The faces seem distorted? Melting? I can’t really describe it accurately. They really don’t flow with the mold. The only one that I am partial to is Si/Am. But even so, none of them are tempting enough to make me buy them. On to the next series!
what is up with the “side” or “tilt” look (like those from furry friends series). Those look dumb and look “high”… this is another bad series from Disney… if cheap enough I’ll buy it for custom vinylmation
Chaser could be- Ringmaster from Dumbo, Edgar from Aristocats, Sykes from Oliver & Company, Percevil McLeach from Rescuers Down Under, Clayton from Tarzan, Rourke or Helga from Atlantis, Gantu from Lilo & Stitch, Long John Silver from Treasure Planet, Firebird from Fantasia 2000, Alameda Slim from Home on the Range, Foxy Loxy from Chicken Little, or Dr. Calico from Bolt. Please no more repeats…..ie Queen of Hearts, Cheshire Cat.
I have high hopes for either Clayton or Alameda Slim. And when I think about it now, wouldn’t it be cool to see a 9″-3″ combo of Brer Fox & Brer Bear in the series?
A 9 inch Brer Fox and a 9 inch Brer Bear would be great!
Both of them 9″s though? Eh, can’t really picture that successfully. Although either one COULD be holding a Jr. Brer Rabbit, THAT’s why I think the set would be a great idea. Heck, a 9″ Brer Bear with a 3″ Brer Fox AND a Jr. Brer Rabbit would be PERFECT!
I was thinking both as 9s and they could both have a Jr Brer Rabbit but your idea of a 9, 3 and jr set would be awesome.

Not sure why you capitalize OFFICIAL. We’re glad to not be tied died by the Disney PR machine. Oh I get it. You are probably trying to be clever or funny. But you kinda failed at that. You did NOT hear from the OFFICIAL blog that it is an open series. They said no such thing. It is a blind box series. We’ve seen the packaging. But if you want to just follow the OFFICIAL blog, you would have never seen these photos I have above. They haven’t posted them yet.

I appreciate you standing by you being wrong. Good job. Open series don’t have chasers because by definition, you know what you are getting. Villains 3 has a chaser. I’ll expect your admission of being wrong when we reveal it later.

I would rather have Chernabog as a 9in. To add to that, they should really make another 9in villain series. Still, Giddy is my favorite in this series! can’t wait to put him next to Honest John!
