Darkwing Duck Swoops Into D-Street!
Another Disney Afternoon Series debuts today at both D-Street locations and might I add that I am glad I don’t want it? How could I say such a thing? Considering the popularity and the grief the releases have caused, I’m glad I haven’t been disappointed like many fellow collectors.
Regardless, I am still impressed with the Darkwing Duck series. Apparently so is everybody else. Our friend, Nick, at Destination Vinylmation sent out a tweet earlier saying that 10 people were already in line BEFORE 4:00 AM!!! I will definitely follow his updates to see how the release goes!

I didn’t go but here’s a quote from someone who went to D-Street in CA: “At D street CA they started at 2:30am. Anybody who got there after 5 missed a wrist band.” WOW! and totally what I expected. I really hope Disney learns from this experience. Because this sort of thing is KILLING the hobby for a lot of people (including me).
I showed up at D street WDW at 7am and was probably around 40 to 50th in line. The line by 10:30am was insane… Not sure if any DWs were left by the end of the line. It was busier then Bonkers for sure and might have been busier then Rescue Rangers. Store opened at 10:30am, by 11:00am I was out of the store and back in my car.
I am really upset that I was only able to get the TaleSpin combo out of this set. I was really looking forward to it, but the way things were handled made me angry. Granted, I couldn’t have made it to the D-Street releases, but the mess ups with disneystore.com was atrocious.
I heard from a source who had arrived around 4 am this morning that people had started lining up since 11:30pm last night…how and why does disney let this happen??
Curious if there was much interest in the IASW juniors release today?
Probably not because there was no Zeros and Heros on them.
….slacker….
Blame it on Animal. He can be very convincing. Loved your 9″ Preview this week
Nicely played….
I bought about 6 at the Florida Project. I really like them.
We went to the D-St CA release, got there at 5:10 AM & there were 300+ people already in line. A Disney cast member told us afterward that people started trying to line up at 11 PM Thursday night. By 1 AM people were blocking traffic out into the street trying to get into the parking lot so they were allowed in to line up. Could be wrong, but appeared to be primarily eBayers.
