Vinylmation Price Guide Just A Few Days Away!

So I have found myself in quite the predicament.  I was abducted by an ornery chameleon and am currently trapped in a very high tower with nothing more than my trusty laptop and a surprisingly solid wi-fi signal.

My captor is a huge Vinylmation fan and he is demanding what many fans have been clamoring for for years…a Vinylmation price guide and he won’t let me leave until he gets it.

I tried to explain that a price guide is next to impossible to create since prices can change on an almost daily basis, but he was not impressed.  After a lengthy discussion (and one failed attempt at escaping while singing to my hair), we agreed that I will focus only on those 3″ vinyls from retired series.  As compensation for being a slacker and not tracking everything, I will throw in helpful analysis on how to collect each individual retired series the cheapest way possible.  Stay tuned and keep yours peeled for Thursday’s Dollars and Sense column to get your price questions answered for Park 1, Park 2, Park 4, Park 5, Urban 1, Urban 2, Urban 4, and Holiday 1.

I didn’t stand a chance….

Thanks a lot Bon. It was a lot fun to do. Prices fluctuate so rapidly so it’s at least a snap shot in time for the 95 retired 3″ from those series. Am going to try on a monthly basis to present a price snapshot of a large subset of released vinyls. Hoping to tackle most of the 9″ in August.

Price Guides are NEVER a good thing for a HOBBY! Everybody used to run to the store to get their Baseball Becketts back in the day, now look at the baseball card hobby. The card companies got richer for awhile as did collectors trying to get rich. Most ended up flat on their face with a lot of worthless cards cluttering their spare bedroom or garage. Anyone remember Beanie Babies? How many people are still making money with those hard worked price guides???

I say leave them alone and everyone trade and have FUN!
