SteamPark Pics and Info

For those of you that were teased by Disney’s Steampark pictures earlier this year, we have exciting news

The blog has released this info on Steam Park

″ It’s also time to mark your calendar for July 8 when the incredible Vinylmation® – Steam Park set is released at the D-Street locations in Florida and California. This set has a retail of $99.95 and an edition size of 1,000. It was designed by Mike Sullivan from Disney Design Group. ″

and

“There will also be a limited number of sets available at the Disney Trading Night scheduled in Florida on July 8. This free activity will be held in Fantasia J Ballroom at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Finally, the Disney Parks On-Line Store will release this set on July 18.”

Love the box! But is there one missing from the original 7 designs they posted up? I only see 6 pieces

The box is amazing, better than the actual VMs in my opinion. No wonder they took so long to come out!

  3. Wow. My head just spun around. I agree Scuba the box is amazing. I was hoping to buy this set over time, but seeing as how it’s sold in a set and limited to 1,000 forget that. Now I have to quantify the $100 price tag hit. At $13 a figure x 6 = that’s $78 so the box is another $21.

I believe the 7th you’re referring to is this one: http://tinyurl.com/63velsq

That watch/vinylmation set was released a while back, but I guess is considered part of the Steampark set.

Yeah, it’s considered a part of the Steam Park collection. :)

I think these are really neat, but I think them being released only at D-street will keep many from getting them. Maybe they will be online just like the sushi set. If I don’t get these at least I have urban 7 to look forward to. I have my fingers crossed that they are the old mold too!!

  8. I just read this:

“Finally, the Disney Parks On-Line Store will release this set (Steam Park) on July 18.”

Baltar can your sources confirm? If this is accurate then we can expect a quick sellout at D-Street locations as some product will be held back for online sells.

Also this give the out-of-towners a chance at owning the set as well.

Sorry I miseed that on the release info.

These will NOT sell out anytime soon. I can not imagine that these will move quick off the shelves.

This is such a cool looking set, only 1000 are made, but it doesn’t add anything to our collection. I love vinyls because they are they a blast to blind box and/or they remind us of the parks, movies, or some kind of family memory. This is a lot of moolah without a clear disney link. Bring on Animal, Gonzo, Animal Crates, Matterhorn, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Urban 7…

I do like the fact that Disney tries different things, this one just isn’t quite us. I also appreciate that they are making them available online.

I’m looking forward to this. Me and my girlfriend are into steampunk and Edwardian stuff. The packaging is selling me as a designer. I’m totally going to drop the money for this.
